Writers Block

Do I get it? Is it a thing? Does it come often?

You know what I do get… pins and needles… that is a thing and that comes daily from sitting down or sitting at the piano for too long. But writers block? No…. I mean some days I write things that perhaps aren’t as good a quality as other days… but I’m never stumped for things to write about. I digress a lot and sometimes don’t come back to the original string of tangents I was originally on about…. but I’m never stumped for things to write about.

You know what this blog is going to be about… apart from writers block… here I go on a tangent again…. the internet here isnt good enough to upload songs to soundcloud…. sometimes it wont even let me upload a picture for my blog post. Crazy!! Anyway, I’m going to veer back towards the original theme of writers block.

So no, I don’t get completely blocked as to what I can write about… but I do digress. I digress almost every second sentence and I really have to stop and say “hold up… has that anything to do with the title”… but to be honest most of the time I just write anyway whether or not it has anything to do with the title. I think when you try to box your thoughts in almost to an essay like piece of work… then thats when it would be easy to get writers block. If I had to write about one thing and one thing only.. then of course I would get stumped. Its very difficult not to write per say about the one topic… but to find enough words in the english language to convey the meaning, feeling, pre text of what you are trying to encompass in your piece. The English language or any language for that matter simply does not have enough words for feelings or moments.

If you ever find yourself with some spare time.. I highly recommend logging onto pinterest and typing in “nature words” and it comes up with all these different words for different feelings and moments to do with nature. I will include some examples below. So people have had to go and make up words because like I said.. the english language is simply not a deep enough language to actually have already pre existing well known words for what you want to say.

Anyway… here are some of those things on pinterest I was telling you about…

Woodnote: A wild of natural musical tone as that of a forest bird

Cynfin: A place where a person or an animal feels it ought to live and belong; it is where nature around you feels right and welcoming.

Sonder: The realisation that everyones living their own vivid life

Apricity: The warmth of the sun in winter

Yugen: A profound awareness of the universe that triggers feelings too deep and mysterious for words.

Feuillemort: The colour of a dying leaf

Komorebi: Sunlight filtering through the trees

Anyway… the list is endless and they put little pictures with them so you fully understand the meaning and honestly… looking these up on pinterest is more satisfying then looking up dogs or cats.. because you are actually learning somethign about something that you usually only feel inside of you. Anyway… again I’m digressing… but I used to love reading quotes…. but now these are the new things I love reading because I’m learning… not from others opinions but from feelings that others have managed to put into a word.

Only problem is, if I use the word…. no one else will know what I’m on about.

Anyway… over and out… Enjoy!

This photo represents “Feuillemort”. I took it the other day whilst in Belgium.
